Why is Republican Scott Brown doing so well in Massachusetts to perhaps take Ted Kennedy's Senate Seat?

Politics aside, this is a dang cool family. This is a feel good family who would make a great fictional television series if they weren't real.

You have Scott Brown who as a 22 year did a tasteful centerfold spread in Cosmo after he won the Cosmo “America’s Sexiest Man” Contest while a law student at Boston College. This is not a timid man.
Then you have his daughter, Ayla Brown, who was a Season 5 American Idol Contestant who finished among the Top 16.

This is a Massachusetts family that has star power. They are larger than life. They are the kind of people that the people of Massachusetts like. They aren't afraid to let it hang out. Well. Amost hang out.
