Fred and Jill watched as Ellen and Fitzgerald walked through the Gates and then measured their own steps as they followed in the same path.

As Fred and Jill crossed beyond the Gates, it seemed totally unreal to them. Ellen and Fitgerald stopped and waited for them and Jason who followed. Jason directed, "Adult men go to the birthing ponds over there and adult women go there." 

Suddenly Steed ran up to Jason with his sister Molly chasing after him. Steed said to Jason, "I did what you said. What now?"

When Molly reached Jason she stood back timid and in awe. She said, "Sorry. I didn't realize he was running back here to you."

Jason closed his eyes and then laughed. "Oh Molly. You haven't changed. Well, not much. I wanted to see you earlier but things have been so hectic." Jason motioned with his finger for her to come closer. "Do you remember Jill and Fred?"

Molly thought a second. "I'm sorry. I can't."

Jill reached out and hugged her. "It doesn't matter. I remember you. But I'm afraid I don't remember this little guy."

"Little guy!" Then Steed laughed. "I'll be big soon enough. That is one good thing about earth."

Jill said, "We were so sorry about Silencer. We looked for you when we heard about Silencer being lost to Saturn. You know, it doesn't matter that you don't remember me but it does make me wonder."

Molly said, "I was caught on the edges of Saturn trying to stop Saturn from taking Silencer. If not for my brother, it would have taken me. But in his saving me, it took him."

Fred couldn't believe his eyes. "Jonathan!"

Steed whispered with a smile and a boyish giggle, "Not so loud. I'm Steed now."

Fitzgerald laughed. "I thought I knew you when I was…. Well, never mind about that."

Jason said, "Molly, do you think you can spy beyond the gates to the people standing in line."

"I'm not very good at focusing yet."

Jason said, "Fitgerald, show her how to do your little spying game and point Rus out to her."

"You know about that. What am I saying! Of course you know about that."

Molly asked, "Who is Rus?"

Jill glanced at Fred. It was still hard for her to think of her little boy as Silencer DeSounder.

Fitgerald took Molly's hand and they rose into the air. From a distance a Gatekeeper saw them rise into the air. Quickly he rushed toward Jason and harshly screamed, "What is going on here?"

Jason turned and projected a scowl upon the Gatekeeper. "Don't you ever scream or speak to me in that tone again. I will not tolerate it."

The Gatekeeper lost the harshness in his voice and meekly whispered, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Jason said, "I'm not going to punish or report you. This time! Not that it is any of your business but Fitz just wanted to check on his daughter. I saw nothing wrong with it considering the questionable behavior of some of the youthful Gatekeepers. Also, Lucifer has made clear that he wants people to stay calm and joyfully experience a good time while making this journey. Fitz had been telling Molly about his daughter Natalina and he thought he would point her out to Molly while checking on her." Jason sternly added, "Now, instead of you trying to usurp my authority, you do what Lucifer wants and try to be helpful to people. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir. I can't tell you how sorry I am sir. Sir, I just wanted to make sure you didn't need my help in dealing with a code 8. "

Jason said, "If there had been a code 8 as you put it, your tone would have been in no way helpful. You are very lucky that no one is trying to get out of making this trip. Everything is going as planned."

"Sir, you have just informed them what a code 8 is."

"Look back at your manual. You are not using the right code but if you had been, it would have been you who informed them what the code is because they are not idiots and they knew what you suspected."

"Sir, I feel you are going to cause me problems with Lucifer and so be on notice I will report my side of our talk."

"You sir, are not going to report anything because you Sir are about to be sent to Venus."

"You do not have the authority to deliver me over to enemy hands."

"I do have that authority because I do have that ability to focus and goodbye."

Before the enemy Gatekeeper knew what was happening, he was on his way to Venus to face an enemy of Lucifer who would send him to Saturn. Another Gatekeeper saw what happened and very quickly ran over to Jason. The Gatekeeper screamed, "Please explain your actions."

"He attempted to usurp my authority. The only reason he didn't reveal a code for public knowledge is because he was too stupid to know the correct code. Now, do you also want to be sent to Venus or do you want to follow Lucifer's orders and not cause problems or concern for the travelers."

"Yeah, I think Lucifer will accept that explanation. Carry on." The Gatekeeper walked on toward the gates to help direct and escort people.

Jason laughed, "I have never been able to figure out if he is friend or enemy." Jason added, "But I've got to start being more careful." Then Jason looked up at Molly. Jason watched as Fitgerald helped Molly to focus and Jason saw that huge smile of happiness as Fitzgerald told Molly, "Rus is DeSounder." Seeing that beautiful glow of euphoria surround Molly, Jason felt the risk he had taken was well worth it.

Fitgerald also marveled in the blessed feelings of love that surrounded Molly. He listened to her whispering words, "Rus is my Silencer. He looks so young now. Does he remember like Steed does? Steed doesn't remember everything clearly but he is remembering more and more. I hope Silencer can somehow remember me."

Fitzgerald said, "I don't really know. I just know he has time traveled."

Fitzgerald and Molly returned to the lower sphere where Jason and the others stood. Molly hugged Jason. "Thank you."

Jason smiled. "I do what I can. Unfortunately to stay in position to help, I also have to do things that don't make me popular." Jason looked at Jill, Fred, Ellen, and Fitzgerald. "You can't avoid the birthing ponds."

And to the ponds they went.
