As George and Jay walked down the bricked path toward the Inn, they discovered lots of people were gathered at a corner.  There were lots of mumbles and loud voices coming from the crowd of people.  Among the voices they heard someone say, “The body of the gypsy woman vanished right in front of my friend. My friend does not lie.”

George tried to distinguish the faces in the crowd to see who he might have heard talking. He thought he knew the right person to approach when Jay took him by the arm and led him away from the crowd toward a woman standing in front of the Inn.

Jay said, “There is my girlfriend.”

The woman turned and for just a second George could have sworn he saw the face of Magadelion. The woman ran up to Jay and held him in her arms. “I had the most terrible dream last night and now I hear two gypsies have been murdered. What if someone learns?”

“Shhh, notice my friend.”

Kitty turned and stared at George. “You were in my dream.”

George stated, “And you were in mine. It is daylight and you aren’t covering yourself and so I take it you are not a vampire.”

“Of course not.  They don’t exist.”

“But you are a gypsy witch and you are Magadelion.”

“You are insane. I’m not the murdered gypsy who vanished.”

“But you don’t deny that you are a gypsy witch.”

Jay said, “Shhh. Please be careful of what you say. You are not the only fool who believes in the unbelievable. You could put Kitty in danger.”

George said, “I am sorry, but I am so confused because of what happened last night.”

Kitty stated, “Well, you spoke foolishness to me and so I will speak foolishness to you because of the dream I had. Did the gypsy woman die in your arms?  Did she curse you to be a werewolf? Are you a werewolf?”

“I honestly don’t know.  I hope it was all a dream.  Since Gurdy found me in the woods, I suspect the worse.”

Jay laughed.  “Oh come on. Like I told Gurdy you were either hit on the head by a bandit or a jealous husband. I suspect the later.”

Kitty said, “But two gypsies were murdered last night and I dreamed as though I were…”

George finished what he thought she had been about to say. “You dreamed as though you were Magadelion.”

“No! Well at times, but part of the time no!”

Jay said, “Look man, I’ve known Kitty since she was abandoned as an infant on the doorsteps of my neighbor. We grew up together. She is not someone who suddenly just appeared out of no where when the gypsy woman’s body vanished.”

George looked at Jay and Kitty. “Can we be friends?”

Kitty said, “I fear you are a great danger to us.”

George said, “I suspect Magadelion wants us to be friends.”

Jay shook his head.  “That is not helping your case.  I wish I had not agreed for you to come here with me. Please leave us alone.”

Kitty shook her head.  “Jay, you didn’t have that dream. I want George to stay and discuss things. There is something very odd going on.”

“I know. That is why I agreed for George to come to the Inn with me. There was a reason I did what Gurdy wanted and I stayed with George until he woke up. George, look, when Gurdy came to me and asked for my help it was like déjà vu and I remembered something that a gypsy woman told me as a child. She described what would happen and told me that I should help you.”

Kitty asked, “Was it the gypsy who was murdered?”

George asked, “Was it Magadelion?”

“I don’t know. She was just an odd gypsy that came upon my parent’s farm and asked for water from our well.”

George asked, “Is the farm near here?”

“It is not too far from here.”
