The ghost of Steve and Magadelion followed Louis Napoleon as he left the Art School. They followed him to an old abandoned house and there he vanished into thin air. Magadelion stared at Steve.
Magadelion said: Boy, I don't know what the hell is going on. I tell you this though. That was not the real Louis Napoleon. That was an imposter. That was the Warlock.

Meanwhile: Mastery Flannery and Mr. Hinitikief arrived at the Inn by Horse Carriage. They left the carriage and walked up to Jay's room. They knocked on the door. No one answered. Mr. Hinitikief turned the doorknob. The door was not locked. They opened the door and entered the room. They found Kitty laying in Jay's bed. She didn't move. They noticed blood dripping from her neck from two puncture marks. She was weak and unconscious but they could tell she was still breathing.
Mr. Hinitikief said: What the hell happened here. Where the f*** is Jay? Master Flannery said: We need to get someone to go for a doctor. Mr Hinitikief said: Do we need to get other people involved in this? Master Flannery said: If we don't get a doctor she might die. Mr Hinitikief said: And if we get a doctor she might die anyway. |

Kitty opened her eyes.
Kitty said: Mr. Hinitikief, get me a damned doctor.

| Mr. Hinitikief rushed out the room to see if he could find someone to go fetch a doctor. Kitty looked at Master Flannery |
Kitty said: I know you. You are Sally's father. Sally and I went to the same school together and I visited her a couple of times at your Art School. Master Flannery said: I remember. Kitty said: I saw her tonight. I saw she was running from someone and so I called to her. I brought her here. I thought Jay and I could help protect her. I can't remember for sure what happened next but I think your daughter bit me on the neck. Master Flannery said: My daughter did this to you! Kitty said: I had heard she was in a mental institution. It just didn't occur to me that she is dangerous. Master Flannery said: She has never shown any other sign of being dangerous. Tonight has been such a weird night. Kitty said: I'm feeling better now. I wish I hadn't sent Mr. Hinitikief after that doctor. I will not mention to anyone that Sally did this me. Master Flannery said: I don't know how she got out of the hospital. I am on my way there as soon as I am sure you are okay. |
Not seeing anyone he recognized, Mr. Hinitikief took Master Flannery's carriage and started for where he knew a doctor lived. He hadn't gone three blocks when he had to quickly reign the horses to a halt. Someone was laying in a mud puddle in the middle of the dirt road. He got out of the carriage. He walked to what appeared to be a young man. He turned the young man over where he could see his face. He was horrified to discover that it was his own nephew Jay. He quickly picked Jay up and put him in the carriage. He quicly climbed back on the carriage and cracked the whip to speed the horses toward the doctors house as quickly as he could.

Mr. Hinitikief woke the doctor up and hurried him to the carriage to look at Jay. The doctor looked at Jay and told Mr. Hinitikief it best if they go straight on to the hospital. That is what they did. Meanwhile: The Warlock pretending to be the doctor entered Jay's room at the Inn where Master Flannery remained with Kitty.
Warlock Doctor: Mr. Hinitikief sent word that I should come here at once. What seems to be the problem. Kitty: Other than these puncture marks on my neck I am feeling much better now. Master Flannery: I think she should go to the hospital. She looks awfully pale. Kitty: I can't afford to be sick. I am okay. |
Master Flannery takes notice of the doctor's shoes. He never had seen him wear those kind of shoes before. And then Master Flannery notices that the doctor's hair is parted on the right side rather than the left side as normal.
Master Flannery: Doctor, have you thought anymore of my idea to give my daughter a birthday party at the hospital on her birthday, next Tuesday. Warlock doctor: You aren't getting senile are you? Your daughter's birthday was last Tuesday. Master Flannery: No, I gave her the necklace for her birthday last Tuesday but her birthday is next Tuesday. I would like George and maybe a few students from my school to visit her on her birthday. Warlock doctor: Whatever. Right now my concern is for Kitty. Kitty, I would like for you to go with me to the hospital. Master Flannery: You look like Doctor De Hollis, but I don't believe you are him. Kitty is not going anywhere with you.
After Master Flannery accuses the Warlock doctor of not being Doctor De Hollis the Warlock grabs hold of Kitty. In turn Master Flannery also grabs hold of Kitty just as the Warlock is about to transport her with him out of the room. By accident the Warlock transports Master Flannery with Kitty and himself to a cell in the ward of the Mental Hospital. In the cell, Kitty and Master Flannery see Sally in the corner sobbing in tears. The Warlock coughs and they then turn to look at the Warlock. He is standing behind them on the otherside of a coffin. |
The Warlock then vanishes from the cell.
Kitty: You say that is not Doctor De Hollis. Who then is he? What is he? Master Flannery: I would never have believed it but now I must. He is a warlock. That is what he is, but I don't know who he is. Sally: He is a mad man driven by an obcession to take control of some place called Sitnalta and all of its citizens. He believes that George is the key to destroying the current masters of Sitnalta.
| Even as Master Flannery speaks to Kitty about t he warlock he rushes to console his daughter. He knows that she is crying for he hears her sobs, but she is facing the corner. She seems to be avoiding looking at her father. Master Flannery takes hold of Sally and turns her toward him so that he can look into his daughters face. He sees that she is pale and that her eyes have an odd glow and there is a hint of blood on her chin. Looking at her father, Sally speaks of the Warlock. | |
