At the hospital, the real doctor De Hollis gives Jay Dubois little chance of living through the night. Mr. Ralph Hinitikief gets word to friends what is happening. Pressure is placed on authorities to allow Jay's father to visit the hospital from the Prison which is next door to the hospital. Escorted under guard Earl Alvan Dubois enters the room where his son rest unconscious. Alvan Dubois looks at his son and then looks at his half brother standing bedside and in tears.
Alvan: What happened? Ralph: I'm not sure. I had left the Inn to get a doctor for Kitty and I found Jay in the road. The doctor says it looks as though he fell from a horse and was dragged a short distance. Alvan: You say you were going for a doctor. What is wrong with Kitty? Ralph: Master Flannery and I found her in Jay's room unconscious. She has two puncture marks in the neck. Alvan: I don't know this man you call Master Flannery. Ralph: He is a friend who runs an Art School. Alvan: Oh yes, that is right. You have made arrangements for Steve to work for him.
Ralph Hinitikief stares in deep concern at his brother when he hears his brother mention Steve. He is not sure how to tell his brother who is looking upon one injured son that his other son is dead. He decides to wait before telling him.
| Doctor De Hollis enters the hospital room and hears both Ralph and Alvan mention Master Flannery. Doctor De Hollis has just been informed by one of the nurses that his patient Sally Flannery is missing from the Mental Ward. | |
| Rerun 6 Posting for March 9, 2002 (Description on Left, Dialog on Right) | |
| Doctor De Hollis pulls open Jay's eyelids. Jay's eyeballs roll where the doctor can see his pupils. |
De Hollis: This is a good sign. His pupils are less dilated. Alvan: So you think he may now live? De Hollis: I think there is hope. |
| Ralph Hinitikief walks over to his brother. | Ralph: I need to talk to you about Steve. I've hesitated because I'm not sure how much stress and grief you can take. |
Alvan sees the stress and the pain in his brother's eyes.
Alvan: What has happened to Steve? |
A nurse who appears to also be a nun enters the room with a pan of hot salve. She sits the pan down on a stand near the bed. Ralph notices her wrist as she pulls up her sleeve when dipping a rag into the pan of hot water mixed with herbs. He notices a birth mark shaped almost like a small snake. His wife Millicent had a birth mark in that same spot and shaped similarly.
Ralph: I've been told that Steve is dead. While getting out of the way of someone on a horse, he fell from a cliff.
When the nurse hears what Ralph is saying about Steve, she accidentally knocks the pan off the stand. Ralph notices some towels near where he is standing and he quickly hands one to her. Ralph takes another towel and kneels down with her to help her clean up the mess.
Nurse: I'm such a klutz. Ralph: Is it possible for a witch to come back from the dead? Nurse: What an odd question to ask a nun! Ralph: I am sorry. You remind me of someone. She was hung as a witch. Nurse: If she was truly a witch, she would not have died at the end of a rope. But I don't believe in witches and neither should you. I am sorry your friend was murdered as a witch. Ralph: She was my wife. I loved very much. There is not a day that I don't think about her. Nurse: I am sorry for your loss. I advise you though that if you don't have a time machine, you should not try to live in the past. Ralph: Time machine. :-) |
| When Alvan hears that his son Steve is dead he says nothing. He turns and faces the wall. He presses his folded arms against his forehead and places his arms and face against the wall. | |
Doctor De Hollis picks up the pan and takes it out for another nurse to fix some new salve. He knows what Sally had kept telling him about the warlock. He had never believed her. The doctor had heard the story before about Ralph's wife being hung as a witch but he had never considered it possible that she might actually have been a witch. He was not sure exactly why, but hearing Ralph speak to the nurse about Millicent sent a chill down his spine. Reflecting on the different patients he had treated in recent months, he knew there was something odd happening in Paris but he still didn't want to believe there was anything supernatural involved.

Jay regained consciousness and slowly healed from his wounds. Still in the hospital, George came to visit Jay at the request of Ralph Hinitikief and informed him that Kitty and Master Flannery and Sally were missing. Ralph Hinitikief had already informed Jay of how they had found Kitty and that Ralph had left Kitty and Master Flannery in the room. Ralph had already told Jay that Kitty was missing but Jay had not fully accepted what he had been told.
George: I am glad to see you are recovering. Jay: I feel like shit. I can't believe that Kitty has abandoned me this way. George: Kitty is missing. Master Flannery and his daughter Sally are also missing. Kitty has not abandoned you. Jay: So what are you saying? George: What has your uncle been saying? Jay: Some foolishness about witchcraft and even suggesting that Kitty was attacked by a Vampire. I mean the man has completely lost it. George: All I know for sure is that Kitty and Sally and Master Flannery can not be found. The night they disappeared, odd things were happening. Gurdy saw Sally disappear into thin air. Jay: I wish I could remember what happened at the Inn. George: They are going to be releasing you from the hospital tomorrow. I would like for you to come stay at the Art School where I can help take care of you. Jay: My Uncle can hire someone to help take care of me. George: You must understand hiring a stranger to be with you might not be a good idea right now. Jay: What? Why should I trust you? George: I don't guess you should. There is going to be a full moon tomorrow night. The first since I had what I hope was just a weird dream. Jay: You don't really believe you are a werewolf, do you? George: I don't know. But if you agree to come to the Art School, Gurdy and my grandfather will also be there to help take care of you. It will not be just me. I will take precautions tomorrow night. I had hoped you would be there to help me take those precautions. I've built a large chest but I need someone to secure it after I am inside of it. Jay: I see. Yes I will come and stay at the Art School while I finish my recovery. But you know it is silly. You can't really be a werewolf. George: I wish you could remember who attacked Sally and you. I wish you could remember what happened. Jay: So do I. I say that. I keep saying that, but maybe on some level I don't want to remember.
After being released from the hospital, Jay's Uncle Ralph Hinitikief brought him to the Art School. A second bed was fixed in George's room. Ralph Hinitikief moved a few of his belongings to the Art School. Although he had business where he had to return to the estate from time to time, he planned to also stay at the Art School when he could. Jay was not an invalid. He could walk but he tired easily. As night approached, George got into the chest as he had planned. Jay put chains around it so as to secure it. Jay then went up stairs to sit in the library and read. Jay hadn't read long when George's grandfather interrupted him.
G. Grandfather: Do you know anything about that chest in George's room with chains wrapped around it? Jay: Yes, my uncle brought it to me. It contains some of my things. G. Grandfather: Things? It sounds like there is an animal of some kind in it.
Jay looks out the window next to where he is seated and sees the full moon in the night sky. Jay wasn't sure what to tell George's grandfather.
Jay: I'm afraid that old fortress that we call the family manor has rats. G. Grandfather: Rat's don't make those kind of whimpering sounds. And I am pretty sure I heard a howl of sorts. Jay: You must have heard the ghost of my hunting dog. I tell people about it, but no one believes me. G. Grandfather: Can't imagine why no one would believe such an apt liar such as yourself. Jay: So what do you think is in the chest? G. Grandfather: Ah hell, your explanation is as good as any.
Jay didn't say anything when he saw George the Werewolf standing at the library door from where he had escaped from the chest. Jay hoped, he silently prayed, the werewolf would not come into the library. Then George's grandfather turned around and saw the werewolf. At that moment the spirit of the werewolf took the spirit of George's place at the wall of Sitnalta and George returned to his body, though his body still remain transformed as a werewolf. George didn't realize he had turned into a werewolf. George's state of mind was such that he didn't want to realize he had turned into a werewolf. Even when he looked at the backside of his hands, he didn't see the fur on the hands that were now paws. He didn't see the knife like claws that had replaced his fingers. To him his hands looked perfectly normal. Both Jay and George's grandfather sat speechless and scared shitless as the werewolf walked over to a chair and calmly sat down. It was when George crossed his legs that George realized that something didn't feel right. He looked down at his legs and realized he had no clothes on. Then Gurdy came down stairs to the library. When she saw the werewolf sitting in the chair, she screamed in horror. Werewolf George quickly jumped out of the chair. Looking at Gurdy he put his hands to cover his private parts. At that point the spirit of George returned the wall of Sitnalta and the spirit of the werewolf again took control over George's body. The werewolf then jumped through the window and ran off into the streets.
Gurdy: Well, now I've seen everything and I do mean everything. G. Grandfather: Well, you've got to give the wolf credit for being modest. He did his best not to let you see everything. Gurdy: Are those type of animals common in France? Jay: Gurdy, that was a werewolf. Gurdy: Are they native to France? I've never seen one before. Jay: How should I explain this? G. Grandfather: That was someone in a costume trying to play a joke on us. Gurdy: Oh, the costume looked very real, like a real animal of some kind. They really scared me. G. Grandfather: Yes, we must give Jay and his friend credit. They had me scared as well. Gurdy: I can't believe Jay would be part of such a joke with all that has been happening. Jay: That was no joke. That was a werewolf. That was a human being who has been cursed to become a beast, a monster, when the moon is full. G. Grandfather: And do you know who this person is who you say has been cursed?

Jay wasn't sure how he should answer George's grandfather. He decided he shouldn't tell George's grandfather that George is the werewolf.
Jay: You really don't want to know the answer to that question. Gurdy: Is that beast the one who attacked you and Kitty. Jay: What happened to us did not happen during a full moon. For that reason I am sure the beast is not the one who attacked us, but I do not remember what happened? G. Grandfather: But what if that werewolf does attack someone? What if someone is killed because you are protecting the identity of the werewolf? Jay: I can't stop what is happening now. Next time, I will make sure the person is better confined before the transformation takes place. G. Grandfather: Did you really think that chest in George's room was strong enough to stop a monster that size from breaking free? Gurdy: Chest in George's room. Are you talking about the chest I saw George building? G. Grandfather: George knows about the werewolf. Where is George? Jay: I, I... Gurdy: Oh my God. What is happening in this odd city? First, I see the Warlock in my room with George's Sally vanish into thin air. And now.... G. Grandfather: And now what? What? Are you suggesting that George has been cursed by the Warlock to be a werewolf. Jay: It wasn't the warlock. It was the gypsy witch Magadelion. G. Grandfather: His mother? |

Standing outside the wall of Sitnalta, the spirit of George felt totally confused and desperate. Being yanked back and forth between the body of the werewolf and the wall of Sitnalta caused him to be totally disoriented. Looking at his hands he realized whether in the flesh or in the spirit, he still looked like a werewolf. With his hairy back toward the wall, suddenly George saw before him a ball of fire. The fireball quickly shot toward him. He just barely dodged being hit by it. That fireball disappeared as it hit against the wall and then another fireball appeared. It, like the previous one, shot toward him and he just barely managed to dodge away from it. Then three fireballs appeared. George knew there was no way he would be able to dodge all three of them. As the fireballs came toward him he covered his eyes with his hands. Moving away from the balls of fire with greater speed than he had ever experienced, he crashed through the Sitnalta Wall. Inside of Sitnalta he uncovered his eyes and witnessed the wall rebuild itself before the fireballs crossed into Sitnalta. Then George turned around and looked upon the miracle, the cyber world of Sitnalta, the virtual reality of the ancient ones, a pretend city with real souls trapped by an ancient computer. George looked upon great pyramids in the distance and the glimmer of roads paved like gold. Then when he focused more near to where his spirit hovered, he saw something he had never seen before. It was a turnstile with a counter that read 10 million served. A man on the other side of the turnstile turned and looked at George. He first was shocked at seeing what appeared to be a werewolf. Then he looked into the eyes of the werewolf and in the aura from the eyes saw how George normally looks. He then quitely laughed to himself.
Man: Yeah, I read that also. What it should say is 10 million made to serve. George: I have never been inside the wall before. Man: So this has been your first life as a Thinkster: a slave to an ancient computer. George: What is a computer? Man: This one is an ancient device designed to process the knowledge and program the activities of genetically altered humans and animals. In the early days of Atlantis some humans and animals were genetically altered so that their mind and soul would be wave connected, light wired, to this damned device. The genetic alteration like all genetic code is passed from one generation to the next. But what is most awful about this device is that it traps our souls. Never again will we be born to a body that is not a Thinkster. We call ourselves Thinksters, but the ancient ones who did this to us called us Things. They pretended to those not knowing that we were no different than a building. They pretended we don't have soul, even though they knew damned well our souls were being trapped by this damned device.
Suddenly a person dressed as a soldier appeared next to the man who had been talking to George.
Soldier: Doshaw, you know what you are telling George is not allowed. Man Doshaw: Not allowed. You make me laugh. I suggest you tune a little bit deeper into the database that sent you here so that you will see that the command to address me was an error. Soldier: One second. Man Doshaw: See George, in the ancient days I was one of the ones who helped design this son of a bitching device. It is justice that I would later be trapped by it. God forgive me. Soldier: I am sorry Mr. Doshaw. You may continue speaking to George as you wish. Man Doshaw: So George, tell me why you look like some kind of wolf. George: I've been cursed. It is weird. At times I am here and the spirit of the werewolf is in my transformed physical body and at other times I am in my transformed physical body and the spirit of the wolf is in this transformed whatever. Man Doshaw: I am sorry for your predicament but that really is a cool curse. It is going to give the Masters of Sitnalta a total hissy fit. George: So what you call the Masters of Sitnalta don't control you. Man Doshaw: Well, they do and they don't. Their thought soldiers can't do much but the masters have other ways to get at me when they so wish. If at least one of them didn't want you to know what I was telling you, I would have been zapped to some other place. But they aren't going to do too much to piss me off because I know how the system works. George: What is this thing in front of me? Man Doshaw: It is a turnstile. Because you have never been in Sitnalta before you must go through it and then a guide will appear and process you. But your situation is odd and so I am not sure how they are going to handle it. George: A voice is telling me to go through the turnstile and that will take me back outside the wall. Man Doshaw: I love it. You have got the masters scared. I am going to add a little confusion to the situation. Soldier, take this man to your superior. That is an order. Hahahahahahaha.
The soldier then takes hold of George and suddenly George finds himself transported to a room. The soldier quickly vanished and George sees a man seated behind a desk. The man's name is Joseph.
Joseph: Hello, my name is Joseph. Now explain why you were brought here when you were told to exit. George: Joseph? Are you the Joseph that Magadelion told me about? Joseph: Magadelion told you about me. George: You and her niece are involved. Joseph: We were when I was alive. George: Magadelion wants you to know that Louis Napoleon is the one who murdered you. She wants you to know that he is your enemy.

The ghost of Magadelion listened to the Jay, Gurdy, and the man who George called grandfather. The shock she heard in the voice of the man who had raised her son made her wish she had never been born. The ghost of Steve also listened.
Magadelion: I need to go to the walls of Sitnalta and see if I can find George's spirit. Steve: If we are able to project ourselves there, then what will you do. Magadelion: I just want to talk to him. I want to tell him how sorry I am for my stupid plan. Steve: I agree it was a stupid plan. Magadelion: Telling me that makes me feel so much better. Steve: I am sorry. What I was going to say, regardless of the merits of the plan it is a plan you came up with to help George and try to help all Thinksters. Magadelion: But I wasn't aware of the Warlock's involvement. How many other things was I not aware of? At this point, I am not sure of anything. Steve: I confess I am more than confused. I mean, you haven't even confided to me why you gave George to that man to raise. Magadelion: I didn't give him to that man, Mr. Avion Brise, to raise. I thought George was still born. I didn't know he lived until Joseph told me about him. My brother is the one who gave George to him to raise. Steve: And what about Kitty? Magadelion: What do you mean, what about Kitty? Steve: She favors you. She must be related to you somehow. Magadelion: She doesn't favor me. Steve: Yes, she does. And we know that like George she is a gypsy who was given away at birth. Magadelion: Are you suggesting I had twins? Steve: I don't know. Magadelion: I need to find her and I need to touch her so I might get a reading of some kind from her aura. Hold my hand and let us focus on her face.
Steve and Magadelion appeared in the room where Kitty, Sally, and Mr. Hinitikief sat. Magadelion reached out and touched Kitty.
Magadelion: Yes, she has a brother but I can't tell who he is. I can't see if I am her mother, but yes I think Louis Napoleon is her father. Why would Joseph tell me about George and not tell me about Kitty? Steve: Maybe he didn't know. Magadelion: But there is something else odd. I am pretty sure she is not a Thinkster. That would mean Louis Napoleon is not her father, but her aura suggest he is.
| Meanwhile: George remains in Sitnalta talking with Joseph. George has given Joseph the message that Magadelion wanted delivered. Joseph's reaction is total silence. George is about to ask Joseph to say something when suddenly George finds himself back outside the wall of Sitnalta in the presence of someone who may be Louis Napoleon or may be the Warlock. |

George looks at the man he has no reason not to think is Louis Napoleon.
Mystery Man: Why on earth would you tell Joseph that I am the one who murdered him? George: I am just repeating what Magadelion told me to tell him. Mystery Man: Who is this Magadelion? Who the hell are you? George: You don't know me? Mystery Man: Is there any reason that I should know you? George: According to you, I am your son. Mystery Man: What the hell are you talking about. I don't even know who you are. Why would you think I've said you are my son? George: What kind of game are you playing? Wait, is this because I now look like a Werewolf. I am George.
And then the spirit of George is replaced by the spirit of the Werewolf. The Werewolf reaches out his astral paw with his astral claws filled with energy as destructive as laser beams. The Werewolf growls so loud it echoes through the many astral planes. The Mystery Man realizes that the Werewolf has the ability to damage his light wired connections to the virtual world of Sitnalta. The Mystery Man quickly escapes from the sight of the Werewolf. The Mystery Man transports himself behind the Wall into the Virtual World of Sitnalta.

As the spirit of the Werewolf takes George's place at the Sitnalta Wall, the spirit of George returns to his physical body that has been transformed into a Werewolf. George finds himself inside a room with Sally, Kitty, and Master Flannery. He sees that all of them are crouching in terror of the Werewolf. George turns and notices a window with its glass broken and bars bent away from it. George motions for the three to follow him and then he goes to the window and crawls through the window to the outside. Outside, he notices that the moon is starting to drain and he knows that soon he will transform back into his normal self. He quickly runs to hide so that no one will see the transformation take place.
| George transforms back to himself and he slips into the Art School where he gets dressed. He then goes upstairs where he discovers Master Flannery and Kitty and Jay. |
George: Where is Sally? Master Flannery: For her protection the hospital has moved her to another location. That is where I have been. I have been helping her get settled. George: And where have you been Kitty? Kitty: I was being treated at the hospital? George: Which hospital? Kitty: For Sally's protection, it is best we don't discuss it. George: Why are the two of you making this crap up? I saw the two of you climbing through a window. Kitty: Wasn't us. Master Flannery: And if it was us, why wouldn't you make yourself known to us? George: I was running from some wild animal. Kitty: So you left whoever you did see at the mercy of some wild animal. Some hero you are.
| George knew that Master Flannery and Kitty were not being honest but he decided to not press the issue. Jay realized when George was speaking of the wild animal, the wild animal George was speaking of was the Werewolf which was George. |
Jay: Kitty, why is it that you aren't surprised to find me living here at the Art School? Kitty: I was wondering about that, but I am tired. Will you escort me back to the Inn. Jay: I haven't fully recovered yet from my injuries. George: But I will escort you to the Inn. Jay: Don't be cruel. She must stay here with me. Master Flannery: George, after being with my daughter I've decided that it has been a mistake to allow you and your grandfather to continue working here. George: You are kicking us out. Master Flannery: I hate to give the two of you such short notice, but I think it best if you are gone as soon as possible.
